Hi all

I have a intermittent cooling problem

This is a list of the thing I have done to the cooling system
New thermostat and alloy housing
Viscos fan
Air con thermo fan
Coolant flush
Removed radiator and cleaned leaves and crud from between radiator and condenser/ oil cooler

Anyway the problem is I drive at hi way speed for around 40 to 45 mins with no change in temp.

I get to the built up traffic at the end of my trip crawling pace and the temp needle starts to creep up from half to 3/4 and then keeps on going up.

I can sometimes drop it into neutral and bring the revs up to to around 2500rpm to 3000 rpm and the needle drop back down to half

I checked the radiator tanks and hoses for temp when I got to work today

The thermostat to radiator hose was hot and the return hose was luke warm

Do I have a semi blocked radiator or a thermostat problem

PS I have a new overflow bottle cap coming
