I am stuck. I installed a set of angel eye rings that I got from ebay. I followed a thread here on the forum that shows the removal of the oem lights, the disassembly and installation of the rings and then the reassembly. I have taken care of all that. They look great on the car.

My problem is the wiring. I figured I would hook them up to the corner lights so they come on with the parking lights. So, I spliced into the wires and connected the wires. Nothing. Unless I hit the turn signals or the hazard flashers. Then I get a nice blinking angel eye. Not what I was looking for. I don't want to hook them to my headlights as that kinda defeats the purpose of installing these. I would rig them to the fogs, but that is not what I want either. I have looked up a few diagrams of the wiring loom to find the running (parking) light wire. My car does not look the same as any of the wiring diagrams. She is a 1999 540iT Touring.

I have cut into the loom to see the wires and cannot find the same color coded wires as the diagrams show. Any idea what wire I should be looking for and what side of the car it is on? If there is a way to splice into the corner light, that seems to be the right way. I still don't know how it has a running light with wires that do not have power feeding them. Mystery to me.

I will add photos tomorrow of the wires and what I have to work with. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
