Let me say I put this in a thread and no one could give me any information. Please help. This has become a mild inconvenience.

Lets start off with the key. Then the remote. Just letting you know it is an aftermarket system that i didn't install.

Key: Drivers side. I turn to lock and they lock, then unlock. Every time. Passenger side does the same sometimes. Sometimes it just locks or unlocks the door.

If i am in the car and i hit one of the locks (driver or passenger) all of the doors lock, then unlock.

In order to lock my car i have to go to the driver side back door, lock my driver side front door and hold down the lock so it doesn't pop up (making sure that the driver side door is closed). Then i have to go around and lock the remaining doors by hand.

Remote: I lock the car and the alarm is armed but the car still unlocks itself. I always would have the alarm going off.

What is going on!? The alarm works fine i don't think it is that. Please help. Your issues don't sound like mine but i dream of the day when i can just push the lock button on the remote and have it just LOCK! and stay locked. If i don't find an answer i will have to write a new thread for E36 Locking issues.

P.S. Does the search not work? Something is up with it. It could search for this thread on my computer. Maybe a fluke thing.
